Ever have one of those days where the baby pulls your hair, the 2 year old tries to brush your hair....with a spaghetti utensil, the baby succeeds in pulling out some of your hair, and then the toddler spreads Balmex in your hair? Well, I had one too many of those days and chopped it off! Yes, I cut my hair super short and let me tell ya, life's been a little easier...
Here are some comments I've heard (the past 4 days):
-Wow, it's short. (no kidding)
-Not sure if I like it. (as I recall, I didn't ask)
-Ya know, most people think women with short hair are lesbians. (judging by my husband and 2 kids, I think I'm straight, but thanks)
But let me tell you this, Rocky and Simmy have been unsuccessful in their attempts to traumatize me using my hair - they opt for their other methods now. My shower is 3 minutes shorter. It only takes a second to style it as opposed to 30-45 minutes, and it's always off of my face and out of the way. Plus, there is hardly any hair in the shower drain!
So, to quell the rumors, I am not a lesbian. Yes, I know my haircut looks boyish (since 90% of guys have short hair). I'm sorry if you don't like it, but it works for me right now. I'm very happy with it cuz I know it's just hair - it will grow, I'll cut it, again, and again, and again.
Life's too short to worry about my hair!

How funny is this??!!??!!
You go girl!! Do whatever is best for YOU and who cares what people think!!! Post some pics!
I miss you sooooo much. We're trying to plan a weekend this fall to come home and I'd love to catch up with you at church!!!!
Cutting your hair is one of the best ways to make your life easier and more efficient. I lived with short, and spikey hair for years and loved it. My kids are grown and so now is my hair, but there are days when I say "the short and spikey may be comin' back.
People are often bold in their opinions, but what they don't know is....people actually make decisions without consulting them. What a wakeup call that is for some.
Hope to see you soon
Love ya
I cut my very long hair VERY short ~totally lesbian short~ within weeks of the birth of my now 18 year old. It is currently growing for the first time since and I don't know where I'll stop with it yet, but my youngest is about to turn five and loves to brush it. It totally puts me to sleep, I can see him being a hairstylist (is that good for a guy?)He has just the right touch, nice and smooth... I am relaxing just thinking about it.
I love it when people offer their comments. One time, I had just had a Mary Kay make-over. I was thinking that I looked rather hot until I ran into my mother-in-law's best friend. She said "Are you sick? You look just aweful, such dark circles around your eyes." I found a new Mary Kay lady!
You do what ya gotta do!(hair do that is) Hair is hair, and when your kids are older, let your locks grow.
